Obtaining moulds without audiologist?

Hi

I recently bought my hearing aids from wholesale hearing and I’m using the c shell moulds I got from my previous audiologist when I was trialling phonak aids (which I then didn’t buy) We got the target software here and my husband tweaked the programming for me

The moulds were made by phonak and sent back once to have vents put in. They are great now and very comfortable.

However the wax cover on the right one just falls back out. I discovered it in my ear last night a couple of hours after I’d fitted it.

It’s quite clear that it’s not a tight enough fit. I’m thinking the only thing I want to do is obtain some more moulds - does anyone have a contact to purchase them without needing an audiologist ?

Thanks

Sandra

I have used this source … Andy is the owner and a very nice person .

They happen to be close to me so I go into there office.

You could probably send your molds it to have the repaired or remade, or he will send a kit to take new impressions which you send back in.

I see you are in UK … not sure if he will ship there ???

just do a google search for ear molds in UK .

Thanks for your reply. Yes would make sense if I can get them here. I just didn’t know if a private individual would be able to order them rather than going through an audiologist. The annoying thing is that they actually fit really well it’s only the issue with the hole being too big for the wax guard !

are you sure you are using the correct wax filter?

Well the left one fits ok and when I’ve asked my hearing aid supplier he says they are all the same size. I have seen there are different types but don’t know which to try. Are they different sizes in your experience? Oh and the ones I have were supplied with my aids.

is this the type of ear mold ?

It’s very similar yes -
