Noahlink Wireless 2 does not connect to PC

My Noahlink Wireless 2 does not connect to my PC. I’m running Win 11, installed the HA software for my Widex 440’s, at the end the program advice: to install USB driver, so I did. That didn’t work so installed the driver from the website, but no solution either :frowning: I searched the forum and found some topics but mostly older and for Win 10 and not the Noah 2. Has anyone encountered/solved this problem?

Noahlink says it doesn’t work with ARM based Windows computers. So that’s the first thing I would check.

Yeah Noahlink wireless is plug and play, so unless as mentioned the issue of ARM, unplug the Noahlink and shut down your PC, then restart and open up compass, next plug the Noahlink wireless in and see what happens.

Thanks for the fast reply. The CPU is an AMD, search on Google couldn’t confirm if that is a ARM CPU. I will try to solve it tomorrow. If the AMD is the problem that means buying a new motherboard and Intel CPU I’m afraid :frowning:

Well if it is you don’t need to go that far, just buy a cheap Intel windows laptop.

When you installed the Widex Compass GPS, the driver that the installer suggests you install at the end is the driver for the Widex USB link, and what you need is to install the driver for the Noahlink wireless.
Please use this link to download and install the driver without Noahlink Wireless connected to your computer.

This driver is for WIN 10 and WIN 11.

He said he’d already done so?

It doesn’t matter which Noahlink is used

Mailed to Himsa and asked if it was a CPU issue. To my surprise got an answer very fast:

Hello Chris,

According to my information AMD-processors are not using the ARM-technology, And NoahLink Wireless will normally run on an ADM-processor.

Can I ask you to open Device Manager on your computer and see how the NoahLink Wireless is represented there? It should be something like this:

And when you are there, will you also open “Processors” and note the name of the processor you are using?

If you have access to another computer with the Compass setup, Can you see if that will recognize the device? Or if Compass is not available, can you see how it is registered in the Device Manager?

When checking device manager the Noahlink was visible and clicking on it the message read that everything was working fine. Openend up Compass and tried to contact via the Noahlink and to my surprise it worked fine. Strange, rebooted the system several times yesterday evening and no response. But problem seems to be solved, upgrading firmware as we speak. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Yeah it just seems you didn’t follow the procedure of staring up the software before plugging in the Noahlink, the reboot/restart is not the same as shutting down and then turning on, no need to keep your figures crossed, you’ll be good to go from here on in, cheers
