Next Oticon superpower rumors

Note the age range when participants had surgery.:

Nothing by force. However, from my experiences, we as humans very much like to reach an adaptation that causes reluctance to change, even potentially positive one. We simply get used to it.
I still think that you may treat that as somewhat adventure with potentially nothing to lose (if your healthcare system refunds CI).

About connectivity - with Nucleus 8 I can stream from my Android phone without any problems. It is perfectly stable. With Windows PC I have intermediary device, but I used it mainly with older Nucleus 6 sound processor, so now I put it to the drawer.

There are also Advanced Bionics sound processors which is in Sonova Group as Phonak, so they are good in connectivity (at least newest Naida CI Marvel which was released in 2021, so I expect newer one soon).

I would also say for any surgery and rehabilitation, itā€™s essential to consider the skill and resources of the facility(ies) that will take care of you. Thatā€™s pretty much true anywhere, even in the U.S. My brother-in-law, afflicted with lung inflammation, for example, fell ill in Idaho Falls, Idaho (65K population), and had to be transported to Salt Lake City, Utah, for the intensive care he ultimately received.

Thank you, but I was born deaf, so my initial state is deaf. Also, i donā€™t like having foreign objects in my body. So hearing aids are perfect for me - they are easy to remove, change quickly and easily. I can try another brand. Hearing aids is the best for me. Yes, i know my cochleas donā€™t let many sounds through. But thatā€™s the lesser of two evils.

I had no specific rehabilitation (unfortunately), only a bit of bothersome indirect (with Nucleus 6) or convenient direct (Nucleus 8 for the past month) heavy podcast streaming since April 2023, after @Raudriveā€™s great advice.

More of my CI journey I described in that post:

Regarding your brother-in-law, I have little knowledge about the locations of ICUs in Idaho, but if I recall correctly, he had a rare complication from a very specialized drug that originally prolonged his life with cancer.
If so, I think there must have been a prior transfer of the patient to a more specialized ICU with more experience with that complication than a ā€œgenericā€ ICU.

they havenā€™t introduced any new bte PP since OPN thatā€™s like 7 years. I heard comments like, the 105 speaker can do the same.

Cant seem to find a logical reason why they cant launch even a More in a PP version for that matter. My guess is that they are trying to come up with a rechargeable version but they havenā€™t been able to work the battery issue. For a company that aspires to be #1 pediatrics seems like a step back
