New hearing aid wearer

I was fitted for my hearing aid on Sunday, May 11th. I could not be more pleased. After doing much research, I decided on the Rexton Reach from Costco. Since my left ear is dead, I did not get a pair, just one. My only complaint, and I understand this, is that the Rexton Reach app does not have all the functions because I only have one hearing aid.
I am still struggling to get it on. I’m hoping that with more practice, it will become easier. I’m wondering if a custom earpiece would help or be worth it.

Posting your audiogram would help us answer questions like that for you. Click the icon in the upper right, then profile, then summary, then “my audiogram” or something like that. It will help us understand how things like domes vs molds might help you hear. I think my molds go in easier than the domes did.

It is getting easier to insert the dome in my ear. I noticed the wire going to the dome is facing away from my ear. I don’t know if it was something I did. I have my first follow-up on Sunday. I will see if that can be fixed and make a difference.

It should be facing to the ear, Costco should fix it

The dome is supposed to face into the ear. Since you are using your aid in your right ear, it sounds as if you have the wire for the left ear. You need a wire for the right ear. Go back to Costco to have it corrected.

Is the dome facing the hearing aid or away from it when it is in your hand? Mine faces the aid but mine may be wrong also. However, i dont have a problem with inserting it into the ear canal.
