Good day all. I recently purchased a new Samsung Flip 6 but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to get both hearing aids working on phone calls. Just the left side works, right side nada. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Oticon Reals are the aids.
So to answer my own question, lol.
Pair and unpair worked.
The Reals are the most frustrating ever. App is totally meh.
Is this also true for say streaming music or audiobooks? And have you forgotten the aids and paired again.
I have the Samsung S23, I am a veteran and have the More1, Real1, and INTENT1 aids, I use the Oticon beta app. I am not having your issue. The issue I have is with my INTENT1 aids if I enable le audio then i have issues with phone calls. But disabling le audio I don’t have any issues. Now more than likely you have OneUI 6.1.1 my phone is still on OneUI 6.1
By the way i only have and use the default general program so I don’t need the app and seldom open it.
Hi there, thanks for the reply.
I checked the audio for streaming music and it too was restricting sound to the right side. In that case I unpaired and paired the Reals again and all was good.
Doubt if this is going to be the final time I’ll have to do this. But it is what it is for the time being until it gets hopefully resolved down the road.
Any time I do an update to my phone I forget my aida and pair again.
You might try just turning bluetooth off and than on again. Usually easier, and works for me with Pixel.
Yes it alsi works most of the time on my Samsung S23
Thanks for all the advice guys. It seems that it is still dropping one side, a constant struggle with connectivity. Audio on left and nothing on the right for streaming and phone calls.
But having said that I pretty much knew it would be an issue prior to purchasing them.
The connectivity monster is alive and well.
As a last resort you could try the ConnectClip.
Pair your Reals to the CClip, and pair the CClip to your phone.
Forget the Reals on the phone.
Obviously, you’re giving up the ASHA aspect, but the CClip gives you full hands free calling, and more.
If and when samsung gets their act together, you could go back, but you may end up being spoiled by the CClip & not being tethered to your phone.
Just throwing that out there LOL!
That’s a great idea. I have one that is sitting here collecting dust. I’ll give that a try. Thanks.
Also for me with Jabra and S24, just turn BT off and back on. I like to do that first thing every day. Also if streaming is acting up with volume off on one side and it always is a very quick fix.
Toggling the bt off/on doesn’t work at all on the new Samsung Flip 6. I’m finding unpair/pair resolves the connectivity issues but is tedious to keep having to do that.
Last gasp: Toggle Airplane Mode On/Off?
Thanks for the suggestion.
I do not unpair and pair when turning Bluetooth off and on does not work. Instead, I disconnect and reconnect the HAs in settings > connections > Bluetooth > the settings icon for the hearing aids down at the bottom. This is faster then the pairing process and has always worked when just toggling Bluetooth does not. I wish you the best.
have your Reals got the new firmware upgrade 1.1.1 ?
