The transmitter1 just provides a Line-Input with 2,5mm socket. This socket can be just for connection to audio-out of TV/Audio/Mp3/PC/Laptop etc as well as a microphone.
I used CIC however the sound quality with BTE 701 Pure Carat makes a lot of difference. I use molds with vents in ears.
