My Oticon Opn 1 playing 4-tone chime

Any idea why my Oticon Opn 1 keeps playing a 4 tone chime then disconnects from my phone’s blue tooth? Very frustrating

The last threads on this forum about the same issue is either moisture problems or microphone problems.

Usually a 4-beep tone chime indicates that the OPN 1 is transitioning to the P4 program. P1 is 1 beep tone, P2 is 2 beeps, P3 3 beeps, P4 is 4 beeps. These beeps are the same tone by the way.

Then there’s a 3 (same) tone beep that warns of low battery. And when the battery finally dies, there’s a 4 (descending) tone beep before the OPN would shut off completely.

Usually if you’re connected to your iPhone and streaming, or if you’re connected to your Android phone or another BT device like your laptop via the ConnectClip, changing from P1 to any other programs (P2, P3, P4) should not disconnect you from your Bluetooth connection.

So maybe if you can provide much more detailed info on what happens, it would help with the debug.

That would be the unmistakable 4 sets of 8 chimes per set, with each set going off 8 chimes in a row in rapid succession, each set a few seconds between each other.

Since the OPN said 4 tone chime, I assume it’s not that warning as mentioned above.
