My new Widex cleaning and charging hearing aid charger is making a high pitched noise

with the aids in the charger or out … power attached to the charger … need more info.

It’s the fan that helps in the cleaning process.

With them in the charger. Spouse notices when I put them in at night and in the morning if I don’t put my aids in after getting up.

And with charger on and plugged into a wall outlet via usb cord that came with unit

To maintain your ear health and optimal performance of your quality Widex hearing aids we recommend the use of the Widex Charge n Clean Charger. It performs the following three functions:

  1. Charging: A constant temperature is maintained throughout the charging process for optimal battery performance. A 4 hour charge will give more than a fulls day wear time and a quick 30 minute charge provides 4 hours of wear time.
  2. Cleans: Six LED’s that emit a UV-C light have a germicidal property helping sterilise your hearing aids. Widex claims it kills up to 99.9% of bacteria, yeast and viruses.
