My Jabra Enhance Pro (with MRIE2) are great, but automatic noise limiting (maybe) is killing me!

I’ve had quite the adventure with my Jabra Enhance Pro 10 HAs. I started out with the M&RIE receivers, but only about a month in, my complaints (poor recharge longevity, lots of feedback) led Jabra/Resound to send entirely new hearing aids. I gave the M&RIEs another chance but after continued retention problems in my ear canals–the longer M&RIEs wouldn’t insert fully and the sports locks broke off–and more feedback issues–I asked to be fitted with conventional receivers. These may not have quite the degree of natural sound, but they fit so much better, and no more feedback, so I am a lot happier with them. BTW, I am using closed domes, which I prefer to the previous less-occlusive tulips, but it all depends on your hearing profile, preferences and other factors.

As for your noise reduction issues in All Around and frustrations with the alternate programs, the app has good work-arounds if you know how to use them. I suggest creating Favorites, based on either All Around or Outdoors or maybe Restaurant. You can modify the Sound Enhancer features in any of these settings (bass, treble, mid, noise, wind) and then hit the little plus button and create a Favorite, which you can then name. This will save your tweaks, and you won’t need to have your HAS set new defaults. I’ve even done so for TV streaming, as I like a lot of noise reduction when watching sports, but not all other programming.
