My experience with Listen Wifi

Today I had my first experience with Listen Wifi at a stand up comedian performance at a concert hall. Normally, I would have missed much of it but today 95% was crystal clear. The whole experience was wonderful. I called the venue ahead of time and asked if there was any hearing assisted devices. The person on the phone told me they have headphones that amplify the sound or I could download the listen wifi app and to come early and someone would show me how to use it. I have an android phone. I first connected to their wifi, then I downloaded the app and selected the venue. I listened to the performance for a few minutes before connecting to the venue on the app. Without the app it would have been a totally different experience. I was straining to catch all the words without the app. I have Phonak in the ear molds which are four years old and severe to profound hearing loss. Now, I will be more eager to go to plays and other performances that I have strugged to hear. I am also going to contact some of the venues near me and suggest they invest in this app if they have not done so already.
