I found out from another audiologist that My Costco vent size is less than 0.8. She suggested a refit and a lowering of the highs.
This is what they wrote to help Costco with the feedback in my right Jabra aid.

To Whom it may concern:
Jeremy was seen at my office, due to feedback issues. His vent size is less than 0.8. My recommendation:
Re-first fit and run a feedback manager (if possible)
Check his high settings
Check venting/fitting. Right earmold looks great, left earmold canal sticks out a little Please let me know if you have any questions.

When I first bought my Jabra aids I had an older A series Samsung phone. They would only pair together by using a phone/remote microphone dongle that I had to purchase separately. I think that all modern phones will connect to the Jabra aids by themselves to some degree.
I wouldnât be disappointed with the Jabra HAs because it wouldnât pair well with your Samsung phone, I would be disappointed with the phone. I had a Samsung A54 that paired well with my Jabras but wouldnât steam audio clearly. The HAs paired and streamed perfectly with a Samsung S22 and S23. The A54 on paper seemed to have the same Bluetooth hardware and software version as the S22 and S23, but still didnât function properly with the Jabra HAs. I ended up buying a new phone, a Google Pixel 8 and the HAs now steam audio very well. So despite the fact that Bluetooth has been around 20 years, it takes 2 to tango, both the phone and the HAs. I also tested pairing and streaming on a Motorola Moto G Power 5G, and it also worked well. YMMV
I might agree with you if it didnât work, but it âfindsâ both hearing aids and then connects to one or the other (sometimes the left; sometimes the right). That indicates a QC problem. Some people canât afford to buy a new $1,000 phone every year. This phone is 3 years old.
The S10e is on ReSoundâs compatibility list, so it should pair easily, and you say it doesnât always pair. I had constant loss of connection and slow app response when I used my S20 5G (not on list), but pairing was never problem. I went to an iphone - much better, though far from perfect.
Have you tried pairing the aids with a different phone? Have you tried pairing your phone with different EP 20s? Unless youâve done that, you donât really know where the problem is.
The above problem sounds like the HAs arenât paired in the software. I could be wrong tho but the behaviour that happens, happened to my friend and found they were paired in the software.
Jabra needs to hire you. lol. Sometimes companies are in such a rush to get the latest and greatest to market theyâre afraid to wait till they have the bugs worked out. If they can figure out how to make one aid work, they should be able to figure out how to make both work. Doing half a job isnât acceptable.
Why did you have to plug your one vent and how did this effect your hearing?
Hereâs an Update on my Costco journey
with feedback. There is still only feedback in the right. There is no feedback in the left. My vent size is less than .8mm. Costco did a software adjustment that only help a little. Now it seems my streaming off I-Phone is a little to sharp? Does that have any thing to do with the recent software feedback adjustment? My wife also says she can hear my voice in the right aid when Iâm. speaking. Sometimes
There is a compression like muff, a down shift in volume when people talk in a loud deep voice , this also happens when a public speaker talks loud in an auditorium. I will ask them to remake the earmold on my next visit in 2 days.
Should I ask for a deeper fit on the skeletal molds? Should I Have them plug the right vent? Got any suggestions on my feedback and compression issues?
Again, outstanding info provided on your fully encased earmolds. Please let me ask this question. How does the occlusion effect of your fully encased earmolds make your own voice sound? Does having a earmold and receiver as one unit take a lot of getting used to?
Since Iâm only having a problem with the right side, I wonder if I could get away with just encasing one instead of both earmolds? The left skeletal is fine. What type of hearing loss do you have?
