Retested. A little worse in the higher freqs. My audiologist hasn’t had the training for the sphere yet. Spheres ordered. New impressions taken. New Roger on ordered. Remembered to get a print of my test results this time. I’ll enter them here later tonight. Appt to p/u new aids at the end of the month.
I was wondering if you’ll be using ActiveVent receivers on your new Spheres?
I asked about this a few months back when I requested ActiveVent receivers for my P90-RTs. The VA AuD said she had never heard of them. At the end of my hearing test, she mentioned that the Philly Audiology Department doesn’t issue them.
I know I’m dealing with a satellite center, not the Main Philly VA Audiology Department, so I’m not sure if the VA is still issuing ActiveVent Receivers.
I ask for a printed copy of the Target Pro Fitting Report. I’m told by other care givers they don’t like giving it out.
It’s amazing. It shows me how the HA’s are set up. It lets me check for simple mistakes. And it helps me answer people here with facts.
If my dispensing audi had shared this way I would have had better service from day one.
My audiologist is great. She is the one who suggested the activevents three years ago. She even went for the titanium tips after I’d worn the activevents a few weeks and knew I liked them. I have p90-r now, too. She told me I’m still the only patient in the practice that wears the activevents. Ordered them for the spheres too. Took impressions for new molds without even asking. She commented that they made ordering the activevents easier now. But I don’t know anything how that side works.
I was kinda surprised she hadn’t had any training on items new to the contract yet. She didn’t know Roger On v3 was available now either.
