I received an email from Cochlear Australia and New Zealand today saying they are going to remove “Bring Back the Beat” app. I can understand why I didn’t find it at all useful.
This is what Cochlear Aus are now recommending you do.

I personally didn’t like the app but it was useful.
It did help me.
By the time the app came out I already had music back, so I didn’t find it particularly useful, although I did play with it some because I am a Cochlear volunteer.
The way I got music back was basically the same way I improved my word recognition. I streamed music directly over and over until it sounded right and I understood it. Is it the same as before I lost my hearing, probably not, is it good enough for me to enjoy music, yes, and that is all that matters.
Pat the same with me. The app didn’t arrive in Aus until I was 14 months post. I also streamed music constants when I wasn’t streaming books. I didn’t find it very helpful either. Even though I did work through it.
