Hi. My son is 7 and has moderately severe hearing loss in both ears and currently wears BTE aids with the full shell molds. He has problems with his canals itching and having flakey skin in them. He also seems to keep moisture in there as well. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to help him? Would a different ear mold help? I have been told to use hydrocortizone cream for the itching. Any input is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!

Eargene ear lotion over several days works well on .a daily applications. About $7-10 for one bottle which will last a long time.
Use diaper wipes to keep the concha and outer canals clean. Add a few drops of tea tree oil to your eargene-- I have seen a bit of tea tree oil clear up bad diaper rash overnight.
No oil in the ear if you want to keep receivers working. Eargene is 5.99 a bottle in Costco. It is the best for itching
witch hazel on a q-tip… also, be sure you dry the molds over night in a store and dry with the uv light
I use a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water applied with q-tips. 4 tablespoons vinegar to 14 oz. of water. Apply an then let dry naturally.
