My friend tested her Nucleus (Cochlear) on my MacBook. So I had to remove my Sonnet 2 (MED-EL) before doing that.
When she was done, I removed her Nucleus and tried to add my Sonnet 2. The MacBook showed in Accessibility that it found Sonnet2 connected to my iPhone, but it didn’t connect. I clicked “Forget” and tried to connect again. Unfortunately, the MacBook can no longer find my Sonnet.
I deleted all the files and reinstalled the system.
It didn’t help.
Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?
Pls help
What a great example of “No good deed goes unpunished.” Really frustrating. Maybe contact MED-EL? Maybe disconnect and reconnect to iPhone but that might be risky. If MED-EL won’t help you then I’d try your audiologist.
Something similar happened to me (with the hearing aid not my Nucleus CI) I did resolve it by resetting the mac bluetooth but before going through that, I want to just confirm with you that you’re trying to connect with the correct circumstances in order to have the CI showup:
You should have your iPhone bluetooth off while you’re trying to pair with the Mac, the CI should not be connected to any other device (turn off bluetooth off of all the paired devices).
You should restart the CI to have it show up available to pair, I don’t have a sonnet, but I assume the easiest way to restart is to remove the batteries and put them on again.
If you’re doing both of these and it still doesn’t show up you can try resetting the bluetooth module stuff on your mac, they’re googleable steps but they require some skills with the terminal app.
Yeah i even deleted audiostream from iPhone. I reeinstalled system on MacBook so i have now clean system and still it doesnt work. I deleted from iphone then turned off iPhone when i tried with MacBook.
Audiostream works on iPhone perfectly fine tho, so there is no problem with that. I guess something is wrong with MacBook.
Okay then I’d say it is worth trying to reset the bluetooth module, it helped me, I’d suggest doing these steps only if you’re comfortable enough with the computer/software stuff, if not probably best to either go into an apple store or wait for your audi response.
In the terminal app (search for it from spotlight) Reset Bluetooth Module sudo pkill bluetoothd
Restart Bluetooth Process
sudo pkill blued
And then try again in the accessibility settings (again with the iphone off).
