Hi everyone. I have just been diagnosed with Meniere’s disease at 48 years old. I have perfect hearing in one ear and mild to moderate hearing loss in another ear with a reverse shape hearing loss. Bad hearing at low frequencies. Reasonable at mid frequencies. But at highest frequencies.
I’m currently trialing the Oticon More 2 and Signia Silk X from two different audis to compare. I am a little disappointed in the More 2. Found it quite uncomfortable with the wire on my ear and the quality of sound is ok, but not something that will get me excited. Could possibly be because audi gave me a double vented dome allowing too much sound to escape! The Signia Silk X has excellent sound on the whole much better than the more even though I’m trying the most basic model vs top in range in Oticon. But as its not fitted it can move around a lot in my ear. Not sure what to do. How to get a better performance out of a RIC like a more. Such as single dome or custom vents. Thinking also to try a custom IIC. Considering Phonak Titanium or Oticon Own IIC? Any suggestions.
