Lost one of my TruHearing 7 (same as Signia IX 5) hearing aids today while trimming trees. The area was heavily wooded with lots of leaves and stuff on the ground and covered at least a 1/2 acre.
My wife and I looked for an hour or two an gave up. I Googled how to find a hearing aid and came across and app called Wunderfind. The app is used to find lost Bluetooth devices and is free to use and is only a couple of dollars to purchase it which gives you the ability to map and other features.
We downloaded the app onto my iPhone and tested the app by locating the hearing aid that I still had and then tried to locate the missing one. We narrowed it down to an area that was showing it was 10 feet away and then zeroed in on it until we got 39 inches away and finally 0 and there it was.
We then started to look for the lost one and got to an area where we were getting readings of it being 10 feet away in about a five foot by 8 foot area and just kept moving the phone around until we zeroed in the the lost hearing aid. Such relief.
Great app highly recommend it.
9/8/25 EDIT - Just an added note. This only works with Bluetooth capable hearings aids. Most is not all them have that capability in the last couple of years.
