Lost almost all residual hearing on my right side overnight

Thank you for your concern @nglfriend. Thinking about it hopefully there maybe options. Seeing ENT this coming Friday, if the news is what I possibly think it will be, then I will most probably be referred to audiology for testing again, and maybe offered BiCrOS. If not I still have my NHS aids and Costco KS10’s. If I purchase a Phonak Sphere I90 for the left ear, I could try wearing one of the other aids on the right ear, to utilize what ever residual hearing I may have left. If that does not work for me, then the Sphere only.

Barry, you always have options. I did trial a second HA in my very bad ear- but the benefits were minimal. As I mentioned, you may find that you need to trade off the BiCross against bluetooth benefits (that I mentioned). For me, direct connection to phones, TV, etc is a far greater benefit- but everyone’s situation is different. I am sure your specialist will explain. However, I hope your hearing does kick back in.

You may be right, but keep in mind that two to four weeks (the sooner, the better) is the latest time when HBOT intervention is most effective. Additional paperwork and tests (chest X-ray and ECG) are also required, which also take time before starting therapy. I think it’s better to act now, although I fully understand the limits of energy required to manage all that.

Strictly speaking, it was probably another kind of CROS - AmpCROS.
