Looking for older analog aid at profound level

Am I sh** out of luck? No one sells, let alone manufacture, analog hearing aids – especially at profound loss level. I get it: I’m not the market they’re selling to.

I currently have a Siemens Nitro 710 that I’ve worn for 15 years. It’s a beast. It’s powerful. It’s gone through everything. So now I’m looking to at least have some options for when it dies on me or something.

I’ve tried almost every single ultra-powered hearing aid on the market and they’re still not powerful enough, in addition to not sounding right for me. My audi has also advised me that newer hearing aids will likely never meet my loss level needs. I’ve been wearing analog hearing aids for close to 40 years now. My brain is trained on the analog sound.

CI is probably imminent, but in the meantime I’m on a hunt to have some back up options. I’ve resorted to randomly contacting audiologists and ha dispensers in the miracle hope they’ve still got something that could work gathering dust on their shelves.

I’m in the same boat, I last went over 12 years ago to my audiologist to try the digital hearing aids, and well I came out crying my eyes out because the sound was just awful, I’ve got around 70% hearing loss. I didn’t get my first hearing aid until I was 6 years old, I’ve been wearing them for 30 years now and they are all I know. I can’t bear the audiologist being patronising saying “you’ll get used to it”, I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t say the same in our shoes
