a) How does the Epoq V stack up against the Oticon Delta 8000 (which I lost ) In fact, is the Epoq V a good hearing aid?
Any answers are appreciated. But detailed answers of professionals and/or people with experience would be great.
If it is a good replacement,
b) Does $1800 seem possible? or a good deal? or what?
The Epoq is Oticon’s top BTE model, along with the Dual Connect. The reason why the Epoq may be better is due to strength of the aid and manual control. Epoq comes in three levels: XW, W and V.
I always say that price is an issue in the absence of value. If you are only spending $1800 for an Epoq V, what’s included? Are you going to be nickled-and-dimed for services, etc? How is the quality of the professional? Are they only dispensing Oticon? Do they offer other manufacturers to compare with? If they’re only dispensing Oticon, they don’t offer any POSSIBLE better options. I think the Epoq is great, and depending on your hearing loss, may be the best bet.
Cheers.
I think I paid 2900 for a single BTE Epoq v and 700 more for the streamer with the connections for the TV and Phone. I would have to look for the receipts to be shure on the Price as i bought the epoq system this time last year…
It is a good system, nevertheless, Not enough gain or power for myself.
I just received my Siemans Nitro SP BTE with the Tek System yesterday… awsome system… ( 1850.00 for the system)
has a little more gain or power then the epoq… I like it:)
