Why does the (Jabra Enhanced Pro 10) charging station have charging compartments specifically marked for left and right. Why does it make a difference? The batteries are identical direct current devices, neither is specific for a left or right eat.
It’s strictly for physical orientation, so the dome/molds are facing inwards.
As you said inductive charging does not require polarity.
I wouldn’t "Eat " them though

Could it be the charging contacts position? With inductive charging there should be no difference.
In spite of that nice little box that forces you to put them in correctly, I still managed to get them L into the R and the R into the L position once. Happily, as others have noted, it doesn’t make a difference.
