I am new to HA’s and am on my 1st set of KS6, which have been very good so far. I was looking at the amount of things you can setup at the audi besides the basic gain settings and decided I want to play with the features myself instead of playing back and forth at Costco. I just ordered a Resound Speedlink for the interface [I know Airlink is better, Hi-Pro more flexible but this was a lot cheaper] and now trying to find the cables. The HAs are the same as a ReSound Linx so I think I need a CS63 with flex to complete the system but they are hard to find at a reasonable price.
I am already nervous that the SW will require some special .inf files slightly different from the standard ReSound Aventa which may be tricky and don’t want to sink too many $$ into this project. So if anyone knows a good source or wants to sell me some it would be greatly appreciated!
Also if anyone has experience programming Kirkland stuff [like KS5 or 6] any tips you can supply would be great.
The >> ReSound Cable Guide << says that the CS44 cable and CS53 flex strip combination can be used interchangeably with the CS63 cable and CS63 flex strip combination. So you might have better luck with standard CS44 cables??
Kirkland Signatures are locked to the Costco only version of the fitting software. If you can get around it with “some special .inf files” that will be newsworthy. If you are successful you will likely be breaking new ground by being first to self-program a Kirkland Signature. Good luck.
The Cs 44 cabls work. Have fun playing and self fitting, but please be careful. When you get in to trouble, buzz over to Costco and they can restore it to the recommended settings.
Yes I think this project is doomed, I did find the cables at lovehearing dotcom, they have not arrived yet but I know this will not work out when they do. I spoke to the costco audi but they dont have an installation disk/flash as the program gets pushed through the corp network. I dont even know the name of of the costco SW to search for and there are no easy config files in the standard Aventa 3.7 as far as I can see.
