KS 6.0 vs Resound Linx 2 961

Can someone list and/or explain the differences between the Kirkland Signature 6.0 and the Resound Linx[SUP]2[/SUP] 961? My understanding is that the KS 6 is somewhere between the first gen Linx 7 and 9. In any case, I am trying choose between the KS 6 and the Linx[SUP]2[/SUP] 961 and wonder what the exact differences are and whether they would be relevant for my situation. Thanks.[SUP][/SUP]

The 2 appears to be a software update on the same hardware. Some improved directionality seems to be the main change.

With the Linx2 961 you can adjust the noise reduction, narrowness of the directional aim and wind noise reduction on some programs with the app. They are said to have better spacial sense but I cannot say that I found that to be the case with the pair I had.

I might be wrong, but I believe the K6 does not come in a version with a tinnitus masker, however the Link2 can be supplied in a version with this feature. The main difference in my opinion is that the K6 is only programmable by Costco, their software is locked and will not connect to the Linx2 (i have had my audiologist try this). This means if you want to program them your self or make adjustments (other than those available via the app) , then you are out of luck with the Costco product. That said i trialed 6 different versions against my Resound Verso 961’s and I found very little difference between the K6 and the Link2, in the 961 format.

What is the price difference between the two?

Not sure how much in the US but over here in the UK the price is
Linx2 = £2880 per pair
K6 = £1999 per pair

They are getting cheaper as the technology improves. My 2 year Resound Verso’s (the model before the Linx1 or K6) cost me £3500 per pair

Here is a link to prices of the most popular aids here in the UK
