I had my two week f/u with Costco today, I asked for someone more conversant with the Pro 30’s and she seemed to know her stuff. Here’s a few things I’d like to share :
I got free replacement receivers
I’m not sure if anyone else has been given these, but I haven’t seen it mentioned. Unlike the domes and filters … Costco has to pay for these so it’s not something that they do all the time.
Really simple to swap out.
I was concerned that my All-Around profile was lacking a little head room, that it could be louder or more aggressive without me having to turn it up.
She checked my programming and said the AU set me up as a first time user instead of HA experienced. Apparently most new users get a less aggressive profile to help them get used to their HAs. She created a 2nd All-Around program for me to try … but told me that for significant changes she would need to re-test to check my upper limits. (and yes I had REM done the 1st time)
One thing I hadn’t grasped, that’s probably obvious to everyone else… The buttons such as Noise Filter and Speech Clarity are simply presets of the Sound Enhancer sliders. So on the Hear in Noise program they are simply changing the equalizer settings.
I dropped a note to Resound tonight to confirm this, and that they are not effecting the AI function in any way. If they say any different, I’ll add it here.
