Trying to save spending $300 for this unit from Jabra.
There are several used on eBay for around $50. I purchased one to test but it will not pair with my hearing aids. “GN Hearing A/S Unite TV Streamer 2 SAS-3 2nd Generation”. I’m assuming it’s designed to work with a different model hearing aid. Are there used units that are compatible with my hearing aids? Retired, fixed income. Thanks in advance.
Looked into this more this morning and the TV Streamer is paired and it is now added to the app and working. I am using the optical audio connections.
Do you use the app to control volume on the hearing aids while connected or adjust volume with the TV remote? And if streaming from the TV, can the TV speakers still be audible for others watching the TV?
The App controls the TV volume to your hearing aids. The TV speakers remain on but that capability depends on the TV. Mine is a Samsung. The app is useful where you can set different levels for the TV and surroundings. The app does take a few seconds to connect and there is a delay waiting for a confirmation after you make a change. Works great for regular TV viewing. I am a musician so if there’s music involved I use other earbuds which have better bass response.
I finally got around to setup my TV-Streamer+ for my Jabra Enhance Pro 20. I was disappointed with the sound quality, there wasn’t any bass even with the bass in the app turned all the way up and the high frequency turned down. I still find that my Soundcore by Anker Q30 Active Noise Cancelling Headphones had far superior sound quality and easier to use.
