Jabra enhance 500 bluetooth phone issues. help please

I bought and am trying out the Jabra Enhance 500 Premium Package hearing Aids. I have a Samsung S21 Ultra 5G phone.

If I am taking a call and the phone is bluetoothed to my aids, the volume is very very low. You have to make an effort to hear the other person. My phone volume is turned up all the way. I cannot find any adjustment that works to increase the volume. I have tried different domes and have closed domes on presently.

Also, if I want to use the phone bluetoothed to the aids and watch something on YouTube or whatever, the volume is terrible on the aids. I cannot find any adjustment that works. On the TV streamer, I can use the app and increase or decrease the volume using the adjustment slide bar and it works.

I cannot find ANYTHING that increases the volume from the phone to the aids if the button on the phone is at max volume. I have contacted Jabra and have not gotten a fix…

Anybody with Jabra here?

Thank you.

If your aids are like my Oticon INTENT aids then your audiologist can increase the volume at the aids with the software thatbis used to adjust your aids.
You can also check on your Samsung phone to see if the streaming volume is lmited on the logic of keeping you safw from too loud of output. Start by checking the phone settings for, sound, accessibility, and connections, Bluetooth, and your aids. There maybe help found in this 3 different settings

@RSW wrote on your previous thread:

BTW:
The Jabra Enhance Select 500 is the same thing as the ReSound Nexia 5. I was told this when I called Jabra support.

First Try:
system > accessibility> hearing enhancements > hearing aid support > hearing aid compatibility

This helps some phones increase call volume.

Then under:
system > accessibility> hearing enhancements > adapt sound

You can setup your own personal sound profile or pick one of the presets. They increase certain frequencies.

I also use the Poweramp Equalizer app when streaming. You can adjust the 10 band equalizer separately for each ear. It is under the parametric settings. You can increase the gain there as well.

I hope this helps.

Also:
Go into the phone settings and search for ā€˜Media Volume Limit’. Turn that off. It will get you a 50% boost in volume.

Let me know if you have done these. If this still does not work then I am seriously confused about what is going on with your HAs and phone.

I have the S23U and the Jabra Enhance Pro 20s and have no such issues.

Chuck, these are OTC. No audiologist necessarily involved. It would be interesting to know if their fitting software for prescription aids could light them up, though.

Actually…there absolutely is an audiologist involved… but not an in person audiologist. Things are done over the internet and online. They have reprogrammed the aids to tweak them for my use. They send the program through my app and I can download the program directly into the aids sitting in my recliner.

The business model works pretty well and instead of paying over $6000, the aids were about 2 grand. We cannot get the bluetooth to phone working like I want it to though. From what I read, a lot of aids have bluetooth problems.

The hearing improvement aspect of the aids and program work great and I like the price…but I cannot get the bluetooth to suit me…

Might of missed what actual phone you are using but if it’s an iPhone, I found switching mono audio on, massively increases the volume of Bluetooth calls/music/audio.

Make no notice of my post, just seen you have Samsung on your first post.

I cannot find this anywhere.

I tried the power amp app. It has a volume control. It did not boost the volume anymore than my phone buttons. When I press the phone down button… this control on the app goes down… up goes up. I think this amp gives more emphasis to what sound category you select…but the high volume is the same as my buttons…no louder.

The media volume limit might help. … but I cannot find it. Maybe my S21 is different.

THIS MADE A DIFFERENCE. It was a noticeable difference and I cannot figure why. Thank you for the suggestion.

I have a Samsung S21 Ultra 5G and this streaming media and phone volume issue has been a hasssle. Going to Mono or switching the MONO button on was much better… I went back and forth a few times and there is a real difference…much better. Thanks.

Phone calls are mono not true stereo like music.

When I search this phone. It says it has an equaliser and there’s a custom option where you can raise things.
