I used silicone half shell molds, I get the little pull tabs with my molds but I keep accidentally pulling out the string when trying to pull out the mold, am I too rough? Or is it just because the glue doesn’t bond that well with silicone? I’d prefer it be something I can fix at home
I think it’s an inherent design flaw. How can a pull tab actually haul out the snug mold WITHOUT busting off? I’ve always marvelled that anyone would be able to use a pulltab for more than maybe one or two times.
It’s like, would you tow a rowboat with coat thread? Or would you buy a sturdy tow bar?

I’ve had molds for over 25 years (hard acrylic), and in that time I’ve only had one break, was repaired within a week.
That makes a lot of sense actually! I’m thinking if I can get some silicone at the craft store I could use that to fix it.
