Is the K3 about to be released soon?

The K2 was released in 2020, that’s 5 years ago this year sometime. It’s usually every 5-7 years an updated devise is released by Cochlear.

Interestingly I found this on the Aussie TGA website.

If I read that right it was dated Jan 25, 2025, effective Jan 16, 2025.

The K2 5 years is coming up late this year.

This is good news.
Thanks for letting us know.

@Raudrive Rick Europe and the USA will get the K3 long before it’s released in Australia then Asia Pacific later still. Not that it will affect me as I wear the BTE processor. It could be released here sometime mid to late 2026 if we’re lucky.

@Raudrive if I’m reading this correctly Kanzo 3 has now been approved.

ARTG stands for Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods. It’s a public database that lists therapeutic goods that are legally available in Australia. The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) maintains the ARTG.

I had to look ARTG up.
You are right. The K3 is approved in Australia.

It’s starting to look like the K3 will be out sooner than the end of 2025.

Thanks for sharing.

Checking in to see what new tech is out in hearing equipment for CI’s and HA’s.

I’m hoping the K3 comes out in 2025 as opposed to 2026. It will be upgrade time for me later in 2025. Have my N7 and K2. I use the K2 more than the N7. Since the N8 around 3 years old I’m not sire I’d want to go that route for an upgrade and would prefer the K3 as an upgrade. When the K3 comes out, I’ll wait for that.

In late 2023 I found out my insurance covers a new HA once every 3 years. I thought it was 4 years. I trialed then ReSound aid that came out before the Nexia. As I’ve said in the past I’m not a fan of ReSound, but gave that aid a trial. Wasn’t a fan. Since it’s not important I tried the Phonak Lumity and decided to get that. The clarity was better for me. Then I found that my receiver in my KS9 had a hipower receiver and my ReSound had a mid-range receiver. Late last year I purchased a high power receiver for my ReSound Quattro. That was a game changer my ReSound was nearly as good as my Phonak Lumity aid.
