What observations do people hold comparing Apple’s Live Listen to Android’s Sound Amplifier?
Soon I will need to replace my Google Pixel 3a phone (runs Android 12).
I’m generally very happy with its features to support my moderate/severe hearing loss.
However earlier this year I tried an iPhone and found its Live Listen feature great to use as a remote mic to stream to my hearing aids.
I think Android’s equivalent is Sound Amplifier and it doesn’t support the bluetooth protocol of my Signia Stretta AYA hearing aids - maybe it’s different in later versions of Android?
You need a LE Audio connection between your aids and your phone (or wired earbuds) for Sound Amplifier to work:
