I tried the intend for two weeks.
Is it just me or are the more1 better for word recognition? I’ve had to constantly ask people to repeat what they said. The intend sounds more distorted. It’s the second time I tried it as I thought maybe I just received a broken demo?
Anyone else find this?
No way iz my More1 aids better than my INTENT1 aids for word recognition. My INTENT1 aids are light years a head of my More1 or Real1 aids. Your audiologist didn’t do a proper fitting.
Sound quality between Intent and More should at the very least be similar. If there is clipping distortion happening in the Intent and not the More, then I would suspect the receiver first, then programming.
Possible but more likely the fitting is incorrect.
You’ve tried 2 different Intents, and both pairs sound distorted?
Ask your HCP to transfer the settings from your Mores to the Intents, and check the More Sound Intelligence values, because if they’re cranked up, you could experience distortion.
Like @cvkemp states, the jump from the More to the Intent is a big improvement, if programmed correctly.
I’ve also made the jump, so speak from experience.
