Initial credentials for Starkey PatientBase?

I’ve downloaded the latest Starkey Inspire programing software and the matching PatientBase database component from their site. It all installs just fine under Windows 11 but when you start the PatientBase component it asks for an existing Username and Password. Anyone know what these might be?

Without this piece I can still use the Inspire program without saving or recalling any patient (me) profiles.

Thanks,
Stuart

UPDATE
This problem was caused by the partial install of the older database component which apparently left a patient database on the computer even after an uninstallation. Installing all the newest components works fine.

Read a DIY School pdf file named (01 Free Hearing Aid Fitting Software). It has a section for downloading/installing Starkey Inspire. Important you must run the Patient Database, not Inspire to start things up. Yes it has a password. But it’s chosen by you.

The first time you run PatientBase from the desktop-shortcut or from the Start menu, you will be asked to assign a username/password. Remember these or get locked out. A suggested user is (admin, admin, admin for firstname, lastname, username) plus an easily remembered password of your choice. Remember these or get locked out!

Sadly this is outdated information. The patient database that comes packaged with the Inspire software 2022.1 will not install on Windows 11 and uses an old version of SQL Server (8). There’s a newer release on their site that matches in exact version number with the main software and uses SQL Server 2019. In any event, when you start it up it just asks for existing credentials. Yes I had read the document you referenced but it’s no longer valid since they’re now using a newer release of PatientBase.

And yes, you start the patientBase piece first.

That old version won’t install on Windows 11. It refers you to a newer release on the Starkey site:

I didn’t think that there was a patient database that comes packaged with the Inspire software?? Oh, hang on. One of the links in the description failed. I will go look at it.

Yep, my bad. I found out that Patient Database 2015 didn’t work. But then I used the wrong link in DIY School. I will fix this. Sorry. you are right. It should be this one.

This is fixed in DIY School now. Thanks for catching this.
