Increasing fruit, fiber, dairy and caffeine linked to lower risk of tinnitus

Diet can also have a significant impact on tinnitus. It’s thought that eating high-quality nutrients can have a positive effect on hearing by improving blood flow to the inner ear and reducing oxidative damage and inflammation.

I have had tinnitus since Thanksgiving 1975. I eat no processed food, or fast food, and no soft drinks. I walk or hike the forest trails in my area. My tinnitus isn’t
noticeable while I am wearing my aids, but is Noticeable when i remove my aids or mute my aids.

This is very much your milage may vary type of situation. I have Cochlear Hydrops and it is thought that eating a low salt diet will make the hearing and tinitus better. For some this is definitely the case, for me, doesn’t seem to be. I think eating healthily in general is a good idea, just don’t expect it to change the world re hearing

You are so right, I eat the way I eat because of my age, and the fact that I can control my health, blood pressure and even my heart rate without prescription drugs by how I eat and what I drink. I am 77 and totally prescription drug free and I weighwhat I weighed my whole military service life. Sure I am softer and my waist isn’t as small but I also find that my weight is a huge factor in my health. I have weighed less by 20 pounds and my health and blood pressure was worse.
So my feelings is learn to listen to your body and it will tell you what nutrition it needs, it will tell you what to eat and what not to eat. That also goes for what you drink.
