After trying many hearing aids I can’t access automatic features. Example: Widex’s manual SoundSense Learn worked fine. Widex’s automatic AutoSense OS fails to help. Many audiologists have said my audiogram indicates their hearing aids should work. They do give good sound if it is increased. But everything is distorted. Any ideas about what is happening and/or how to treat it?
Some times that is down to our ears rather then the actual hearing aids.

You’re increasing all the frequencies, instead of just the desired ones. This may overpower your hearing, thus distortion

My ears are damaged but on 2 occasions I’ve gotten wonderful clarity
so I think problem is not organic. But thank you for your response…
Thank you. I will ask audiologist to increase sound only when needed and only as much as needed. Any other suggestions?
