My left Silk quit working. It powered on and gave it’s power-on jingle but no amplification. I suspected the microphone wasn’t working so I used Connexx and confirmed there was no feedback in the left HA. Right side looked normal. The 3 year warranty expired earlier thi year.
I removed the battery and using a fine needle and jewelers loupe cleaned the inside of all traces of wax and dirt. Also cleaned the microphone openings in the shell with the needle point. Then carefully adjusted the microphone tight against the shell and made sure the wires weren’t broken. Reinstalled the battery and it’s now working. We will see how long it lasts.
