How to replace a ReSound Quattro receiver?

Hi All,

I have had my Resound Quattro’s for 3 years now. Recently, the right receiver stopped working- it’s hanging on by a thread and needs to be replaced (this happened to me for the first time a year ago). I am no longer under warranty, and had a terrible experience with my doctor the last time I saw her- so I am trying to fix this myself to avoid contacting my doctor, paying a high fee, and having to wait a few weeks for a solution.
I have found a provider (Canada based) who can supply the part, and I’m confident it’s the correct one. However, I’m not sure how to remove the old receiver. I read in the manual that you can just pull it out (some other models have a “lock” that needs to be poked with a needle or other small sharp object)- but I’m hesitant to just yank it since the tube is about to fall off.
Has anyone ever done this before? Any advice?

Thank you!

See page 2 of this. They all involve opening a lock, not just yanking.

Thank you! Someone from Resound just called me and pointed me in that direction as well. I knew the yanking did not seem correct.
Still having trouble unlocking it, but at least I have this info to guide me!

A pushpin often makes a pretty good improv tool.
