How to reduce Bluetooth priority for Phonak Audeo hearing aids? (Apple)

My Phonak RIC Audeo p50-Rs are set up to connect via Bluetooth to my MacBook Pro and my iPhone. But for some reason both devices are giving the HAs priority over anything else. So if the HAs are charged, whether they’re in my ears or their case, they will auto-connect. And if the laptop or phone is already connected to AirPods or headphones, they will drop that connection.

This is really annoying and I can’t find a way to fix it. I use the myPhonak app on my phone and “stay connected” is off.

Please help if you can!

I’ve been wrestling with a different Bluetooth issue with my iPhone (how to split the output to my HAs and my husbands AirPods) but came across this that seems relevant to your situation How to set Bluetooth headset priority ord… - Apple Community. I’ve not tried this myself as I only use my HAs for streaming now but maybe it will help with your Mac at least.

This will have no effect on the connection for streaming. It is for the LE connections the app uses for remote control.
