How to access my Audiology Records (UK)

Hi All,

I’ve had HA’s since 2009. 2015 saw the NHS in the UK outsource much of its Hearing Care to Community Providers under the Any Qualified Provider Scheme. I have asked my current provider for a copy of my Audiogram a couple of times and am just told “It has to go to Head Office” and nothing happens. I’m aware that as an NHS patient I am entitled to request my Medical Reord, but does this also apply to Community Providers such as Specsavers, Scrivens etc who provide NHS Hearing services?

Thanks for the info. :+1:

I find the best way is just to ask to take a photo of the screen with my iPhone.

And I had my hearing tested on Friday in connection with a forthcoming procedure and I asked the person who tested my hearing whether I could photograph with my phone the hard copy audiogram she had just completed for the surgeon. She agreed immediately and said “It’s your hearing, so why not?” This wasn’t NHS though.

Soooo, with some persuasion and perseverance my full record was sent to me. :slightly_smiling_face:
