Thanks everyone! Very helpful suggestions. Does anyone have suggestions on how to do this on an iPad?

On iPad, you have to tap + hold the link for a couple seconds for the menu to pop up. Then you can hit copy, then switch to the other comment window, then tap + hold the link for a couple seconds again where you want to add it, then hit paste.

If doing the similar method with the link in the address bar, just tap + hold the web address bar for a couple seconds, select all, then copy. Then the other part of the process for pasting it.

You have to press the screen well outside of any highlighted blue area before bringing up ‘copy’ so as not to keep activating the link. Then without leaving the screen, drag your finger back and forward to reduce the highlighted area to just the link - and then click ‘copy’. You can then go to wherever you want the link posted and paste it.
