Their support page gives me captcha error even though I complete that correctly.
Depends where you are in the world.
I guess I’m on the Himalayas
Phonak support made my day
Why? Can you hear the Himalayas better now?
Actually I was being sarcastic
@eyesgreendeaf My experience of Phonak’s CS is this:
-UK Phonak’s customer services -
-US Phonak’s customer services -
-US Phonak’s audiologist ++ (call the main number, then chose to speak to the audiology service, they will help you I am sure)
Thanks for the reply.
I’m not in the US, and in my country phonak support is mostly just referring customer to nearest hearing aid seller, which is not I want. And most hearing aid sellers are not interested in sharing knowledge
@eyesgreendeaf Who said you need to be in the US? (I am not US based)
As long as you can speak and understand English, and and and you can call a US number from where you are (I believe their phone number is free), then nothing is stopping you from calling them.
I did call Oticon German office (I don’t speak German, but I do like Muller Rice and …)
But you will need to be smart when choosing the option on the phone, because to get to the audiology service it’s quiet a challenge (Not sure, but there were many options).
Good luck
And don’t call Phonak’s CS Japan, they are - as well
Thanks for your answer.
I cannot speak or understand spoken English. You may be surprised that I can read and write in English. In the past, 28 years ago when I began to learn English on my own, I couldn’t understand English tapes and there was no the internet and visual sources with lip reading support so I gave up and I focused on written English. Maybe that was a mistake.
I’m thinking of starting english listening since I have bluetooth access and lots of sources on the net.
Anyways, this forum and members like you are more helpful
If you are able to use ‘Live Caption’ on an Android device then that will transcribe what the caller is saying and also speak back what you type to them.
There may be an equivalent for Apple devices but I’m not sure.
This might be a bit fiddly but I thought it worth a mention.
@eyesgreendeaf Not sure which country your are from, but Phonak’s USA can speak Spanish as well.
He is from Turkey, so Spanish is definitely not his native language.
Did you listen to English-language movies or videos with your new Phonak Paradise P30? Are you still unable to discern individual words?
Thanks for the information
I can get words if I listen to with subtitles since I’m not accustomed to hearing English
New hearing aids are better with speech understanding
Thanks. The videos are great help
