Thought I would contribute to the group with some of my DIY experience. I have Horizon 7AX hearing aids from Hear.com. These hearing aids appear to be rebranded Signia hearing aids.
After getting the Connexx software running, I noticed that there was an option to enable Signia Assistant, but I could not find any mention of this assistant in the Horizon app. After a little research, I found that the Signia app is available and seems to be fully compatible with my “Horizon” hearing aids.
The Signia app has on the fly programming through the Signia Assistant, which I have found to be quite handy for testing adjustments in the field.
The trade off vs the Horizon app appear to be:
Signia app has on the fly programming from my phone with the Signia Assistant.
Signia app also has a “Facemask” toggle for enhancements from covid times.
Horizon app has extra “speach” mode toggles not found in the Signia options.
All the other features seem to be pretty equivalent between the two apps.
Both apps share the same developer by the way.
