Does anyone know if the HI-PRO ver. 1 is still compatible with Windows 11?
Yes, Hi Pro is compatible with Windows 11. I am not sure what you mean by Ver 1?
Do you mean the old serial Hi-Pro with the obsolete serial port cable connection to your computer instead of the more-modern USB cable connection to your computer?
Okay, I think you are asking about the first USB Hi Pro. We don’t refer to it as (Ver 1) because there was never a (Ver 2).
There was a Hi Pro2 (the black one). It was faster, and too expensive, and superseded by wireless programming before it could ever become useful enough to pay big-bucks for some measure of extra speed.
That’s right I still have the USB Hi-Pro and CS44a cables which I used when I still have the Naida V using iPFG fitting software. Unfortunately Windows 11 is blocking the installation of the USB Hi-Pro drivers but was able to solve it by online research. The frustrating part now is connecting the cables to the Brio 5 because the location of the socket pins are deep inside the battery compartment. It looks like Phonak is discouraging the use of CS44a cables and just use the Noahlink wireless. I have been struggling for hours how to connect the cables to the socket pins.
Well, the cable his a visual alignment dot. Also, the cable has a physical alignment slot! These insure correct pin alignment by only allowing the cable to fit in the correct orientation.
Also it is difficult to plug these tiny cables into deep slots. First insure you have the correct orientation then try a DIY tool such as a wooden strike-anywhere matchstick to press the cable-head further into the slot. Though don’t force it!
HMm; Brio5? Brio 5 B-PR BTE?
Finally got the cables to the socket. Thanks for the advice!
They are Brio 5 B-675 BTE non rechargeable. I’m going to try this for 180 days. The Easy Line remote control app needs a lot of improvement. It’s not real time. The Brio 5 does not have the Duo-Tel in T-coil which I really like in Brio 2. I wished Phonak did not remove the program button on the Brio 5. The program button in Brio is now integrated in the volume up using long press which is don’t like.
It’s difficult to find information on the Phonak Brio 5 B (guessing that the “B” means BTE). Costco which has previous Phonak Brio models but does not yet carry the Brio 5? Judging by the Product Information specs, the Phonak Brio 5 seems to be a version of Phonak Nadia Paradise.
Needs to be 20

In Brio 5 the duo tel is only available in acoustic phone program which is disappointing for me because I prefer the T Coil over the acoustic phone program.
I agree. I hope Phonak realizes their mistake to remove the duo-tel from T-coil. I believe no power HA user would benefit from acoustic phone with duo-tel because it significantly picks up environmental noise which renders this acoustic phone settings useless for power HA users.
my friend, good night. I am having trouble installing hi-pro on my win11. can you help me?
- Is it a USB Hi Pro?
- What type of problem are you having?
- Usually you just plug it into a USB port on your PC and it works.
- Though, you do have to select Hi Pro as your hearing aid programming device in your fitting software. It may be defaulting to a different programming device.
Provide more details.
Is HiPro compatible with windows 11 or it doesn’t matter?
I just bought a new notebook. acer nitro 5 with win11.

but… when I plugged on win 10, hi-pro was recognized automatically. when I try on win11. I am having problems.
Hi Pro works on Win10 and it works on Win11.
Run Windows Device Manager and find the Hi Pro device and look at the driver.
oic from above you already did that, hang on.
Generally you install the fitting software first to get a driver. I sent Hi Pro Driver. Check your PM/Private Message.
