Hello good people.
I am a newbie here and I decided to buy this programming device (Hi Pro USB) for my Phonak B90 hearing aids. Unfortunately the PC (with Windows 11) is not able to recognise the Hi Pro. So I only get so far into the installation (from the CD) and then the installation of the drivers are on hold until the device is recognized. Not a very accurate description maybe…just ask for more details if you think you can help. I am stuck as my computer knowledge is average.
Thanks in advance.
Hi there, so you have win11 and the B90 (Belong platform) if it’s a wireless model why don’t you make it easier and go wireless programming with the iCube ll, much quicker and no hassles to set up.
But anyways there’s been issues with others as well, one is to use a USB port version 1 or 2 but not USB 3, seems it doesn’t work all the time.
So in device manager, what shows up there when you plug it in, I wouldn’t even bother with the install CD, the drivers are available anyway.
Drivers
Thanks tenkan!
I will investigate further the USB problem. I use both 3.0 and 2.0 in my PC, but neither of them are working properly for the PC to detect the Hi Pro. (I do get the same message as you in the device manager thoughough - this device is working properly). Do you think installing Windows 10 on the PC will make it more probable with a success? I could not find the drivers for the Hi Pro on the link you gave me - the Hi Pro 2 though was there. Do they use the same drivers maybe?
I’ll tentatively step in here and ask…which exact model of B90 do you have?
I have got the B90-312T - so it can not be connected wireless.
I have got the HI PRO recognized by the PC and Target. For now Target does not connect to them, but recognizes them. So progress. Thanks tenkan.
Hi there, yes the drivers are for USB so will work, HiPro will work in win11 but yes some problems reported, win10 is more stable.
Ok so good you got some progress, what cables are you using,(CS44a) is it possible to show some screenshots of what’s happening.
So you have CIC or ITE custom HAs with no wireless features? as all RIC /BTE are wireless which includes some CIC/ITE models.
I bought the Noahlink first and it would not connect to my HA. Just to be clear: I have the Phonak Audeo B90-312T. Last time I visited my audiologist I saw him try connecting to them by Noahlink, but had to resort to the HI PRO at the end…
Finally. I got the HI PRO recognized AND connected to Target. For now I can not get the HA connected, but I will try some more and let you know.
You brought the wrong programming device,as mentioned before,it’s the iCube ll you needed.
Amazing how this could happen.
The only Belong model that uses Noahlink wireless is the B-Direct version, which only came with size 13 battery, you don’t have.
Try wireless programming with the iCube ll, much easier and quicker.
It looks like both devices can program those aids. Do you have the right cs44a phonak cable?
Thanks to all for excellent help. I now have the HI PRO working and I am able to make changes to the HA in Target. The various tips was just the help I needed. Now I need to read up on how it all works - loads of settings to get acquainted with here. Cheers!
Awesome, fantastic news, always good to get things going along nicely, now the real fun begins.
