Hearing loss and prednisone

I started to have severe hearing loss and ear congestion I couldn’t hear conversation or follow/process words after lowering the prednisone dose. I think the obvious solution is to go on prednisone for a month to try to save the rest of my ear cells

Why have you started yet another thread about this issue? You’ve already repeatedly said you want to take high doses of prednisone for a month, and have indicated elsewhere that you have already started taking it. You’ve also indicated that you’ve been playing with the dosage. Others have advised you that there isn’t evidence to support such a long program of steroids for SSHL and have warned you about the dangers of taking such high doses for so long. We’ve also advised you that prednisone is a medication with serious side effects that should not be taken lightly, and offered you warnings about withdrawal symptoms. What more do you want?

I told you I have CONGESTION and HEARING LOSS when lowering the prednisone dose. So who are you and why are you coming on here HARASSING me? what side effects are you talking about, you haven’t posted anything but negative QUACKERY when you ARE NOT A DOCTOR.
if you don’t treat then your ear cells will die without prednisone what a foolish idea

hey kenny your place as the number one asshole on here is in trouble

Prednisone is EXTREMELY dangerous and can cause many systematic problems which can be quickly fatal - heart attack, shock, etc… NEVER skip or alter the dosages in any way unless told to do so by the doctor. I had the same issue as you - Started out on a high dosage, but the hearing loss came back when I got down to the lower end of the taper. The doctor gave me a refill and had me run the entire course again (including the taper). You cannot stay on a high dosage of prednisone for a long period of time. There are many very bad issues like severe bone loss, glaucoma, liver and heart problems to name a few.

seems like they may already be brain damaged…

Oh, I don’t think there’s much competition for that title.
