Is this normal.?
Yes, I would say totally normal for a few weeks. Your brain is getting more input than in a long time. Your brain will adjust and better hearing will be normal soon for most people.

I think I got lucky. I got my aids just over two weeks ago and didn’t have a hard adjustment at all. First day I wore them 10 hours, if it had been earlier in the day I would have probably worn them longer. I’m averaging 15.5 hrs a day. I’m going in the morning for my first follow up and do have a couple of things I want to discuss with the audiologist for possible adjustment. Good luck with your journey. Hang in there, it will get better.
