Hearing Aid that can cover both low and high frequency hearing loss

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post on the forum, I need advice on type of hearing aid suitable for my case.

My audiogram tests results done in year 2020 and 2024

Report of Fitting test of hearing aid I am currently using Audeo M 30 (Phonax).

• Hearing Issues:

  1. Can’t hear high frequency sounds ( e.g. door bell, birds chirping, car reverse beeper, digital watch alarm/tones, etc).
  2. Difficulty in understanding conversations: calls on speaker mode (someone talking with a mic at a distance), soft spoken voice, auditoriums or conference halls, inside automobile, behind face mask, non-native English speakers, TV Audio etc.

Additional Information:
• Age: 48 years
• Medical Issues: None
• Reasons for hearing loss: Unknown, no family history, worked in heavy equipment laboratory for 3 years (back in 2010) may be the reason.
• Currently using the Audeo M 30 (Phonax) behind the ear, based on the advice from my audiologist.
• The current hearing aids are great for High frequency but I am still struggling with the issue highlighted above (point#2).
• Is there any hearing aid that can accommodate both high frequency and understanding the conversations (highlighted in point#2), based on my audiologist feedback there seems to be none.
• Also, I am wondering if there is any headset that can help me hear well during the online conference calls (especially when the speaker is talking with mic at a distance).

Looking forward for all your valuable feedback.

Regards

Have you trial some of the powerful HA’s such as Phonak Naida Or Oticon Xceed? Trial them first before buying.
