Has Oticon stopped making superpower models?

Thank you for the kind words @dankailo, although “Roger Numpty” might be more appropriate  I’m still learning about The Roger System, I am no expert, by any stretch of the imagination, I’m a lover of technology, I always have been, it fascinates me… I am most fortunate to be able to afford Roger devices, albeit second hand Roger devices, I have the skillset, and equipment, to do small repairs, but nothing overly complicated! I get great satisfaction from successful repairs, in many instances, I will strip down a Roger, with little or no idea, how to fix, unfortunately there are very few tutorials, so it’s a learning curve…Take care, cheers Kev

Yes Kevels we see the pattern. You buy new HA every two years, You buy Roger devices for pennies on the dollar. You get free batteries that fall from the sky. Time to get in “reality” land versus claiming non-OTC aids are cheap, need to be replaced under warranty and expensive accessories like Roger devices are money well spent.

In other words - Get Real

Yeah @stevemink … I truthfully shouldn’t encourage you, but no matter, I am feeling rather benevolent, so thank you for your reply

lol, it’s the same with everything!

Everyone has different priorities on what they spend their money on!

Someone would want newer hearing aids more regularly, another person would want a holiday / vacation and will be happy to upgrade hearing aids less regularly.

My friend’s priority is to have nail extensions every month and holidays regularly over everything else, even giving herself a good diet!!

Looks like there are more Roger ALD in eBay than Connect Clip (Oticon). I love to follow your style of working on used CC or HA’s and then helps a friend to test it with DIY. We can buy “similar” battery online (China) and then change it. It just like a new CC.
Just happy surfing and take your time while surfing the internet. Keep ourselves busy and learnt something new. Take care

Thank you @dankailo, yeah all these small LiFePO4 batteries you need are 3.7 volt, for instance, the battery for a Roger On, is LP 471736, 3.7v, 260mAh, 0.96Wh… You will get away with a slightly smaller or slightly larger battery, the battery number corresponds to its size, 47mm X 17mm X 3.6mm thickness, or it could be 4.7mm thickness X 17mm X 36mm, I never measured it, either way, and I have yet to order a new one, but it is best to measure the old battery, before you order, the higher the mAh, (milli Amp hour) the more charge capacity, the larger the battery, and obviously the longer the runtime, you could probably squeeze a 300mAh battery in the Roger On, it might be tight though… The sides can be slightly crushed in, if you are careful. I might be preaching to the choir here, you will probably know all this already, but others reading this, might not? Cheers Kev

I don’t get it. You’re mad that Kev pays too much for new hearing aids, but doesn’t pay enough for used Rogers?

Thank you @CombatWombat… We move on  Personally, I would love to see Oticon release an Ultra Power & Super Power aids, by doing so, this would offer Severe/ Profound thresholds, some good alternative choices, good healthy competition, usually creates innovation… At present, Phonak Naida Lumity is the only new game in town, leaving Phonak with no clear competitors, let’s all hope a new iteration of Xceed, is high on Oticon’s agenda! Cheers Kev

Totally correct @CombatWombat

Think he also doesn’t understand that what is posted on the forum, doesn’t mean a person HAS to go buy new HAs.

People have different priorities. Everyone is different.

I hear in the wind that Signia has a new BTE to be released soon, hopefully it’s in the UP range.

That’s good news @tenkan, the more the merrier, hopefully someone will do a review, once it’s on the go… Thank you for that info. Cheers Kev

I would think they are going to have something like the Stiletto, which makes sense.

Frankly, I dont see why they haven’t put and updated PP / SP / UP with the more or real

signal processing which is the logical step,
