Has anyone tried taking their Resound Linx Quattro hearing aids apart to clean the microphone filter

Hi all
Id like to take my Resound Linx Quattro 961 rechargeable hearing aids apart to clean the microphone filter.
They are out of warranty and speech sound around me is quite poor plus they were due a refresh 6 months ago but I cannot afford to pay for it. Streaming sound is good.

Has anyone done this before?
Links to step by step strip down instructions and/or photos would be appreciated.

Its my fault of course if anything goes wrong.

Any info greatly appreciated.

I work in construction. Wish I had microphone filters in my Paradise P90R’s.

First thought–small vacuum? Amazon?

Second thought–youtube?

My Hearing Instrument Specialist has taken me on as a client. My HA’s are from workman’s compensation. He sent them off for warranty check. I got new hearing aids and a new charger. Solved some problems. He used to be general manager of Starkey in Canada. now he’s self employed. He sells mostly Resound.
My Paradise P90’s are good hearing aids. First two years was heck. That was because my dispenising audi didn’t set them up right.

Frankly I don’t understand how hearing aids are sold. They’re sold as medical equipment, but we’re not treated as patients in this “take your money and run society”

Hi there, yeah so it’s all pretty easy really, you just remove the pins holding the housing together, remove the receivers first and then use a paper clip or a Sim card removal tool to push them out as far as possible and then use some tweezers to pull them out completely, you can then pull/pry apart the housing and find the microphone covers for cleaning, I’m sure the cost through a local clinic wouldn’t be much for this.

Check this video guide for the 61 battery version to give you an idea.
