Has anyone figured out how to make Philips hearing aids the default audio output device for Android phones?

is there a way to do this with the Hearlink 9050? I can get streaming to work with youtube or rumble videos but not with other apps.

Which android phone abd what version of android?

I have the Oticon INTENT1 aids with Samsung S23 phone with OneUI7 and Android 15. Every thing from notifications to calls to streaming goes to my aids. My aids and phone are connected by LE audio at all times. If i disable LE audio I effectively disable my Bluetooth connection to my aids.

No. I’ve searched and it seems there’s no way to prioritise Bluetooth audio devices in Android. There are some third party apps that claim to be able to do it. It’s not enough of an issue for me to bother

Ok thanks. It’s not worth a tremendous amount of effort in my case either.

It’s a pixel 8 with graphene OS.

Sorry I don’t recognize that OS. Android 14, 15 or 16 should work for you.

I have the 9050s and S24 and my experience is the same. The HAs default for everything. Took a little getting used to at first. When I take them out for the night and pop them in the dryer for a cycle they’re still powered up and are the audio output when I answer a call - I needed to learn to quickly switch to phone audio after answering. Or shut them down before putting them in the dryer, which I never remember to do.
