My laptop hard drive quit. The only real reason for that hard drive was to run windows for the Phonak software. Anything else I can do with linux (ubuntu mate 23.04). I tried some time ago and was unsuccessful. Will try again but was wondering if anyone was able to do it and might have a tip or two.
Thanks
Usually in cases like this, it’s just easier to buy a cheap windows laptop and install target for your DIY projects.
Thanks for the reply.
I will by a small ssd and install win 7 if I can find the install cd. I am sure I can download it someplace. LOL Will the newest version still run under win 7?
Just would be interested if anybody else has it running under linux either with wine or some other emulator or as a vm. I would like to get rid of windows for good. LOL
Oh ok hen, a few people have got things up and running with bootcamp and other eliminators Parallels etc. You’ll need win10 for the very latest target I’d think.
Use the search button from right here on hearingtracker, there’s quite a few others you can search for.

I use Phonak Target with debian with KVM windows 11 … It works just fine, except the firmware update for Roger ON does not work … update for HA’s works fine . It will also work with Virtual Box … and both are Free.

My Audio is GOOD with computers and suggested using a virtual machine, so virtual box (as suggested) is probably a good way to go.
yes it work well with VBox
