The Philips brand name is Dutch, but little else about the HAs are. Demant holds a license to use the name. They are made by Demant, a Danish company. Some here have said the oticon aids and the philips aids are the same, just the software is different, and new features for each come out a bit lockstep, the oticon first by a little bit each time.
